Still in its early days, Faveous retrieves favorite articles, videos and all sorts of media fluctuating between 2011’s main social networks, such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Google Reader amongst others. The startup’s focus up to now has been making their favorite aggregator service operational. However, developing Faveous as a distinguished Social Network, in other words making it possible for others to discover one’s favorite media, is on the Arthur Monnet's agenda.

History

Arthur Monnet, founder and CEO, is an 18 year old teenager who, after achieving his French Baccalaureat with honors and being granted a place in prestigious "Prép HEC" (business schools). took the decision of widenning his horizons and creating his startup . His determination brought him to rent a desk in Paris and penetrate the city’s startuper community. He promoted Faveous at Start in Paris in January 2011 and regularly joins Startup events in Paris such as LeWeb. This project has been looked upon as one with great potential.

Functionalities

Faveous retrieves favorites content from numerous platforms. At this stage, Facebook, Twitter, Google reader, Youtube, Delicious, Instapaper, Tumblr, Vimeo and Dailymotion are integrated to Faveous .. Basically, what is liked, tweeted, shared stared or bookmarked appears on this centralized platform. Faveous has developed their own bookmarklet as well as Google Chrome Extensions which simplifies the "faved" content's way to users' homepages. Faveous is also a mobile app still in its early stages, making it possible to read or watch any sort of content later on on a wider screen.

How the platform works?

Faveous collects the integrated services’ APIs in order to follow a person’s account evolve. In fact, it develops the RSS feed concept. Therefore, Faveous has no access to personal information and will never have privacy issues concerning that matter .

What might become more problematic in terms of privacy, is the type of access people will have to another person’s Homepage when Faveous will have deepened their social networking.
