Daniel Sean & Joey Koo established Koo & Smart New York Design Studio in 1998. Before Koo & Smart , Daniel was working as a designer in Bennett for 9 years. Joey was working for Rockport’s design department for 6 years.
From 1998–2005, a lot of Koo & Smart’s designs were adopted by many well knows shoe Companies. Koo & Smart supplied a lot of clothing, shoes and accessories for many famous productions, such as Gilmore Girls and Everwood.
In 2005, Jose Lopez, a Spanish well known designer who was nominated by American CFDA joined Koo & Smart, which added a lot Mediterranean style to the designing team.
Koo & Smart is now working with more than 20 European shoe companies, providing unique designs for those companies. There are more than 300 designs were adopted by those companies. Koo & Smart also has quality control units set up in Brazil, China, India, Vietnam and Slovakia to help their clients with quality controls.
