2012 European Aquatics Championships
The 2012 European Aquatics Championships will be held from 14–27 May 2012 in Antwerp, Belgium and Eindhoven, Netherlands. It is the first time that Belgium (co-)hosts this event, and the third time for the Netherlands. Events in swimming, synchronised swimming (both in Antwerp) and diving (Eindhoven) are scheduled. Originally, the Championships had been awarded to Vienna, but later they backed out due to the financial crisis.
The 2012 European Water Polo Championships will be held separately a few months earlier, from 16 to 29 January, also in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
