The Alberto Lleras Dam (also known as the Guavio Dam) is a rock-fill embankment dam on the Guavio River near Guavio, Colombia. The dam was built in 1989 and is currently one of the tallest dams in the world, with a height of 243 m (797 ft). The dam has an installed hydroelectric generation capacity of 1,150 MW, a crest length of 390 m (1,280 ft), and a rockfill volume of 17,100,000 m (600,000,000 cu ft).
