Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) is a national agency of the Government of India, under Ministry of Earth Sciences. It provides ocean information and advisory services to the society, industry, government and scientific community through sustained ocean observations and constant improvements through systematic and focused research. It is based in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The director of INCOIS is Dr. Satheesh C. Shenoi.

INCOIS is also establishing a ground station to receive data from Oceansat-2. It would be operational in April 2011.

Indian Tsunami Early Warning Centre

INCOIS houses the Indian Tsunami Early Warning Centre (TEWS). The Ministry of Earth Sciences, as the nodal Ministry, established the TEWS at the INCOIS in association with the Department of Science & Technology, the Department of Space (DoS) and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). It was inaugurated on October 15, 2007.

INCOIS has 22 sea-level gauges at , Chennai, Ennore, , Haldia, Kandla, Karwar, Krishnapatnam, Marmagao, Machilipatnam, Nagapattinam, Paradeep, Port Blair, Vadinar, Visakhapatnam, among others, and three bottom pressure recorders. The round-the-clock centre will, in 2012, become a regional provider, providing alerts to all Indian Ocean Rim (IOR) countries.
