Tingyu Fang(1935— ），chinese, the Han nationality, senior professor in English,born in Shanghai, enjoys a specialist allowance of the State Council.

Professor Fang was brought up to full of love for traditional Chinese medicine, has been contributing to the Chinese medicine sector over the years. Professor Fang has a great talent on the translation of traditional Chinese medicine,he graduated from the Beijing University of Foreign Studies in 1957, when he was only 22 years old.And then,he has been teach in Beijing University of Chinese medicine. For years, he has been engaged in medical English teaching in Beijing University of Chinese medicine and Chinese medicine theory and practice of translation studies, can be said to be dominant in the field of experts.

Call for modernization and internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine

Over the years,Professors Fang has been calling for legislation to promote modernization and internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine. He repeatedly pointed out to the media, comparing with Western medicine, Chinese medicine is has a good effect on chronic diseases. In Western medicine medical diagnosis means evolving today, growing decline of traditional Chinese medicine in its origins. Not only because of the treatment of TCM itself, but also because there was no national legislation to protect. Contrary, in recent years, the rapid development of Chinese medicine overseas. Incomplete statistics, Chinese medicine has spread to more than 140 countries and regions. Existing Chinese medicine, acupuncture and moxibustion abroad institution over more than 50,000, over more than 20,000 Chinese medicine practitioners and acupuncturists over more than 100,000 people.

Professor Fang said that,TCM education became a gradually heat in foreign countries.
