Sathya Prakash (born March 18, 1990) is an Indian singer, discovered in the music talent show, Vijay TV's Airtel Super Singer during its 3rd Season. A noted Carnatic Singer since childhood and disciple of Sri Chandrasekar Bhagavathar based out of Coimbatore, has cultured and tuned his voice to perfection. His Performances at Airtel Super Singer 3 Grand Finale has scored him an opportunity to work with music director G.V Prakash and many others. Actor Dhanush, who gave away the awards, has already tweeted that he would get Sathyaprakash to sing in his “3”. Popular director Selvaraghavan too tweeted that he would offer Sathya a chance to sing his next movie.
Educational Background
Sathya Prakash completed his Engineering degree from Maharaja Engineering College, which is afiliated with Anna University.
Early Life and Singing Career
Sathayprakash, born to Mr.Dharmar and Mrs.Pitchaiammal hails from Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. It was at the age of 8, he started connecting himself with music with the fullest support of his grandfather Late Tamil vidhwan Thiru.Ramaiah Pillai, and took up carnatic vocal classes with Late. Kannaiah Naidu. After some period, he learnt with Smt.Selvakumari for about 2 years.
About 12 years ago, Sathya Prakash was heard by Chitra, a development officer with LIC, perform at a school contest where she was judge, and put him under the tutelage of the revered Chandrasekhar Bhagavathar.
He secured the first place in the state level carnatic music competition held by "The New Indian Express" during the year 2003,2004 & 2005 in Coimbatore.
Has also received KALA PRADEEPA AWARD from Kerala Cultural Centre in the year 2003.
Seeing his talent, Rajalakshmi Fine Arts provided him the opportunity to explore his abilities. Sathya now has four albums released under the banner of Rajalakshmi Audio, ‘Padatha Pattile', ‘Jananam', ‘Pazham nee' and ‘Soundaryam'.
