Shoerec (computer virus)
Win9x.Shoerec is a Win32 encrypted parasitic computer virus. It is a direct action virus.
Effects
The virus activates its payload after three to four months from the first infection. It exploits the Windows Desktop and mouse drivers, and makes icons "run away" from the cursor: creating a hilarious, and an annoying payload.
If files are infected in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd of any month, the virus may add another - destructive - payload into it. After seven months of such infection, the virus erases all files in the drive and may create a WIN.COM file - this may contain garbage or a clear text, as such:
