The José de Mello Group (Grupo José de Mello) is an economic group that has a stable Portuguese shareholder base. It is one of Portugal's biggest corporate groups. The company is named after its founder José Manuel de Mello (December 8, 1927 - September 16, 2009), the heir of an industrial conglomerate, Companhia União Fabril (CUF), which had been founded by his grandparent .
