Éric Aubourg
Eric Aubourg is a French astrophysicist at the Atomic Energy Commission. As such, he is a member of a jury of admission for competitive recruitment of senior researchers at the CNRS in the Nuclear physics and particle physics department. He is a professor of Utrecht University. He is also a passionate Egyptologist, studying the astronomical orientation of temples and tombs, the astronomical content of the reliefs and the writings dating back to ancient Egypt on this subject. In the 1990s, working with the Egyptologist , he studied the astronomical content of the circular Dendera zodiac, leading to interesting conclusions. He is also the author of software for Macintosh using a cast of characters for hieroglyphic font.
